Aurora R16, extend warranty

Hello,

I purchased an Alienware Aurora R16 around June 1, and it has had two major issues that first required an exchange, and second a repair. Both of these services have taken multiple weeks and much hassle. I'm still waiting for the repair due to a lack of available parts. I'd like to request additional time added to my warranty. Is this reasonable, and if so, what path could I take to get that done?

Thanks!

@llomd I would still advice to contact a Dell agent by pressing the get help now button in the lower right corner of the screen.

Maybe they are able to work something out considering your circumstances. It's worth a try, nothing to loose.

The only way to receive an extension is to pay for it.

You will typically get an e-mail closer towards your current warranty contract expiring, to let you know about the option to purchase additional warranty.

You can also go here to start the process. You will need your service tag for it.

I guess I'm really using this warranty so far. Wish I was using my new purchase instead.

Especially frustrating having been quoted much faster times for repair/replacements. Depending on when this repair is done, it is likely that 50% of my ownership time to date will have been waiting for repairs.

If no concessions are made in cases like this, my question is resolved.
