DMPVV - Licensing issue, Uploading new license overwrites old one
Hi all
We recently purchased enough Dell Management Plugin for VMware vCenter licenses from Dell to cover our fleet of 36 ESX servers.
However, when I tried to upload each license into the appliance it just overwrote the previous one. I have purchased a 3, 10 and 25 host license respectively...So I am currently stuck with only 25 hosts managed out of our purchased 38.
Any help would be much appreciated. If this is by design, then I would highly recommend that you alter the way your licensing system works in the next version. Also, you need to communicate with your sales people that they are in fact selling the licenses incorrectly.

Hmmm? Why do you bought a couple of licenses instead of a 50 Host one? There is no way to combine licenses. Ask your Dell Rep if you can swap your licenses.

Wasn't my choice mate. I asked for enough licenses to cover my fleet of ESX servers and this is what Dell sent me. I would have expected they would have given me the correct advice considering they should be licensing experts for their own software!
I'm not particularly happy with Dell right now if this is true!
