History data in ViPR SRM
Hi Experts,
We use ViPR SRM to monitor storage devices, and found that if a lun was removed, it will still exist in DB and report. May we know how to filter out such kind removed things from report?

Hi warmghost,
SRM deletes metrics from the database when its corresponding device (in this case probably the array) doesn't have a new data point for one year.
In order not to report on out dated components SRM uses a property called vstatus, this property is updated by the import-variable-status task to be either active or inactive based on the time stamp of the last data point, depending on the type of component it will be marked as inactive after either 48 hours or 14 days. If you are using a default report the filter already includes vstatus!="inactive", if this is custom report that you may have to update the filter,
