iDRAC7 Enterprise license recovery

Greetings,

I recently purchased three recycled PowerEdge r620s from Build My Server for home lab use. Two out of the three had iDRAC 7 Enterprise licenses. The one that did not was at iDRAC7 Express, but it has a iDRAC Enterprise barcode on the right side of the chassis. I requested it be transferred to my DDL account and registered it there, but still can't find the license. Anyone able to assist?

I will try to help. Please PM me all 3 server service tag obtained via BIOS with screenshot. Then, provide me your full name, email and the previous owner's details as much as possible. But I might not be able to respond to you in time as I'm going off duty soon.

Hi Joey C,

I'm experiencing the same issue with my Dell PE R620. It was purchased from Amazon and my iDRAC 7 license was lost after resetting the iDrac. Now the server only shows iDrac Express. Dell OpenManage Enterprise even shows my previous iDRAC7 Enterprise License and entitlement ID. Can you please assist?

So If I understand you correctly, you have access to the license, but it is just not loaded in the iDrac, correct?
If so then you would just need to import the license as laid out here.

 

Now if you don't have access to the license then you will need to Private Message me the svc tag, as well as company name and contact details. Now if you don't know the company name then you would likely need to complete a change of ownership before we can resend.

Hello, i've a recycled R320 and my idrac 7 was working since may 2022.... but yesterday it stopped and is now in basic management! Please help!

Could you private message me your server's service tag, to avoid exposing your private info the public forum. Also please provide the server's order info, as in the previous company that you have obtain it from. We will need to verify if this is a genuine ownership of the server.

i have a similar problem, i've purchased n.2 Dell T320 from ebay and a idrac 7 card, i wish to recover both servers enterprise license, and i want to know how to use the idrac card

i've finally received my transfer for both T320, for one i've received an idrac 7 express license, and for the second nothing, can someone help me to receive both enterprise idrac license?

@DELL-Marco B​ i've contacted tech support but they're taking ages even for a simple reply, i miss my enterprise on one and other is set to express that is wrong, can't you have a look for this?

​I purchased a recycled PowerEdge r620 from Garland Computers for home lab use. I have iDRAC7 Express, but it has an iDRAC Enterprise barcode on the chassis. I have Service Tag and was able to transfer ownership, but I need the license to update from iDRAC Express to Enterprise. Please advise.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I've checked the ST but the R620 server had Basic warranty and there is no iDRAC enterprise license. In the our tool for license it says "No Record Found " I think former owner may have obtained a license after purchasing the server. You can check also here https://dell.to/3NvdClz from selecting view product specs You can see the components that come from the factory
