Ram upgrade
Lapmargin: 0;">Existing RAM: 2x16GB SODIMM DDR4 (aka OLD RAM) SK Hynix HMA82GS6CJR8N - VK
RAM Upgrade: 2x32GB SODIMM DDR4 Corsair Vengeance (aka NEW RAM) CMSX32GX4M1A32000C22
Bios and drivers updated to the latest versions directly through DELL automatic update system.
On a clean surface (polished with isopropyl alcohol), wearing anti-static equipment and discharger, following sequence of operations have been performed trying to update the system:
1) Inserted both NEW RAM modules in slot A and slot B, the system does not boot and returns the systems led flashing error on RAM (kept it on for 30 minutes with no progresses).
2) Tried swapping the 2 NEW RAM modules, same behavior of previous point.
3) Replaced the NEW RAM module in slot A with OLD RAM, keeping the NEW RAM module installed in slot B. The system boots immediately giving correctly total 48Gb and passing all memory tests.
4) Swapped the 2 modules, obtaining following configuration: OLD RAM module in slot A, NEW RAM module in slot B. The system boots immediately giving correctly total 48gb and passing all memory tests.
5) Replaced the NEW RAM module in slot B with its companion (the other NEW RAM Module left in the box). The system boots immediately giving correctly total 48gb and passing all memory tests.
6) Repeated the operation described in point 4) using NEW RAM companion. The system boots immediately giving correctly total 48gb and passing all memory tests.
7) Replaced the OLD RAM module with the NEW RAM one and once again obtained the result of point 1)
What can be the issue when installing both 32Gb NEW RAM modules not having the system work properly?

The original RAM is setting the timing, and the new RAM is downclocking to match. With just the new module(s) installed, the system cannot negotiate the timing settings with the RAM.

The RAM is too aggressively timed for your system -- it's designed for a gaming notebook with adjustable RAM timing. Your system does not have that.
Return the memory and buy RAM certified to work in your system (Crucial and Kingston have memory configurators for selecting compatible RAM -- so do others, but I don't think Corsair does).

@ejn63 thank you very much for the quick feedback.
Indeed it was my thought as well; but i cannot explain why one single Corsair memory module, in conjunction with another module of the old RAM works perfectly whatever is the slot i select, for the upgrade. Whilest adding a second Corsair module in the system, it stops working.
