VMAX 40K SFS on SATA Drives

We have had an issue with our VMAX 40K, and persistent reservations in our Windows 2012 Hyper-v environment.  Currently when we add new hosts to clusters only certain volumes can be mounted.  They fail to mount with a "PRG failed" type error.  To get around this issue we have to issue a Clear-ClusterDiskReservation.  The only error on the VMAX side that support has been able to see is "SFS busy" errors when trying to run commands.  One thing they recommended was having the SFS on FC vs SATA.  Has anyone else heard of array issues due to the SFS being on SATA drives?
