I know there is already tools from EMC to encode and decode the FA WWPN but limited to encode a single WWPN at a time, these online utils , Fa WWPN Decoder and Fa WWPN Encoder, can be useful to decode a bunch of WWPNs or to list out  all the FA WWPNs of a given DMX/VMAX/VMAX3 array.

Hi Sean,

The above link to the Knowledge base doesn't work any more. Do we have a new place to access the same information ? Also, is there any similar page for PMAX 2500/8500 arrays ?

Hello Rajesh V U,

Here is the updated link for VMAX3 WWN. https://dell.to/3RGP1gt

Here is also a link to PowerMax: Info Hub which has some additional docs and videos for PowerMax 2500 or 8500. https://dell.to/46CnUaE

Hi Sam, thanks for the updated link and information on PowerMax. Really appreciate it.

Just wondering if you come across any documentation on decoding the FA Port WWN for PowerMax V4(2500 and 8500) series (similar to the older series)  ?

Found this article for decoding the FA WWPN of PMax 2500 and 8500.  Posting here for future reference.
