SA, recommended updates keep failing
No matter what I do. These SA (SupportAssist) updates fail to install. And of course I can find the reason why.

Support Assist is not always right about updates on a laptop. You can ignore the suggestions. You should have mentioned what exact model you have. Go to your download page yourself and check the Alienware Command Center software that is recommended. It might not be needed or you might already have it.

It's an Aurora R10 desktop. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the supportassist program that's trying to do the update, that has worked for me.

It's only supposed to offer updates relevant to the service tag.
Do you already have AWCC and the oc tab?

How do I do that? Will it invalidate my warranty if I do?

@r72019
I do have AWCC and OC.
I download the OC update manually and successfully installed it. Bypassed SupportAssist. This update is no longer shown in SA.
I downloaded the AWCC update manually as well and install it. Bypassed SA. This update STILL shows in SA.
What I'm getting from this experience is to not use SA what so ever. It's buggy, hangs, and is unreliable.

No reinstalling support assist won't void the warranty.

I'd use revo uninstaller but you can also do it via control panel and then go to add remove programs.

Yeah that's why I suggested reinstalling it.

Try running all the tests on Support Tests, then retry the updates. That somehow worked for me .
