Hitachi E1090 Capacity No Reports
Hello All.
Hitachi is not showing capacity values. Other things it shows in reports. But no value for capacity. Also, when volumes are checked in reports, it shows all the ldevs/volumes fine, but nothing for capacity and used capacity.
Collector Logs has no errors, nothing to look for. All good and clean in logs. Catalina logs also all good. And, it was working for more than two years already except SRM was upgraded from 4.9.0.0 to 4.9.0.1 and current SRM 5.0.0.0.
Can Sam L share some KB specific to this issue. What can be checked from our end. Best

@DELL-Josh Cr Hi. Just an update. It works fine now after Support intervention(Cap+Perf). Lots of files were stuck which were supposed to reach APG. Using 000191887 support resolved it. Cap+Perf reports all good now. Thanks

@DELL-Josh Cr . Thanks. Yes, SPs was indeed updated after the upgrade. I also agree that E-Series is not seen in supported arrays, but it was working earlier for one entire year. And, in any case it should atleast show the Total Cap of Hitachi, like it did earlier. Not showing anything on capacity part. Any other pointers to be looked at. Thanks

Are there any firmware updates on the devices or drives? Any errors in the logs?

@DELL-Josh Cr Hi Josh. No firmware were updated at all anywhere. Only thing as mentioned earlier is SRM Upgrade from 4.9.0.1 -> 4.10.0.0 -> 5.0.0.0.
And what is perturbing here is that in the Collector Logs(the host which is used while discovering Hitachi), there are no errors at all. Totally clean logs. But Capacity values are not shown anywhere in GUI. There are multiple places to check that including Reports Library, Explore etc. But the the Capacity values are not there at all. Thanks

I haven't been able to find anything else for why only that data stopped showing.
