Agent folder on host empty but shows installed in ControlCenter

Good day

We have installed UB14 and CC_5020. One of the FCC agents kept crashing and I deciced to unistall and then re-install. It failed, now shows as stopped in ECC and upon investigation the EGN folder on the install host shows empty. How can I fix this?

Tnx and enjoy the rest of the day!

Hi Rista,

Assuming the FCC agent host is on a windows host

  • confirm if the FCC agent details are within the %ECC_INSTALL_ROOT%\exex\ctg.ini file
  • If so stop the Master agent service and edit the file to remove the EGN details example below, Save the file.

[EGN]

Exec=*:\ECC\exec\EGN610\egnagent.exe

Type=EGN

Release=610

Version=6.1.0.*.*

Title=Fibre Channel Connectivity Agent

AutoStart = true

Restart=true

maxops=5

  • Delete the empty EGN610 folder
  • Restart the master agent
  • From the console push out the FCC agent again and confirm if it installs

If the FCC agent fails to install goto \ECC\media_rep\remoteinstall\actions\ \EGN610 on the ControlCenter server and review the latest install log (TID****_AID*****.log) and this should provide details to why the install failed. Post the error message and we can take a look

Regards

Conor
