Dell USB DVD-RW Model DW316 not recognized after Windows 10 upgrade
Since upgrading to WIndows 10 back in December, my USB DVD drive is not recognized. It doesn't show up anywhere (Device manager, etc.) and it doesn't turn on. I've tried a few fixes, including the registry edit, to no avail. The Dell site did not have anything. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Are you able to use the same USB DVD drive on other computers...?
Please check it, if it's working please update your driver of USB DVD drive.

Thank you for your suggestions!
The device worked fine until I updated from Windows 8.1 to 10. I tried it on an older library machine running windows 7, and it was not recognized.
Most solutions I have seen deal with the device being recognized but not working. My device is not recognized at all. I've tried different cords as well.
According to the Dell website, the driver or any other downloads are not available.
I don't see a DVD driver listed anywhere on my computer.
Any other helps?
