Upgrading SupportAssist to this version of the Secure Connect Gateway isn't supported
I have tried to upgrade SupportAssist 2.0.80.25 which fails as in SupportAssist Enterprise 2.0.80.25 - Fails to upgrade to Secure Connect Gateway Version 5.0.0 - Dell Community
I have downloaded Secureconnectgateway_5.00.06.00-708.exe which also fails to upgrade.
The prompt states you'll have to download and upgrade to version 5.0 which is not available, see below:
Dell support almost impossible to get in touch with, no response from number. Very frustrating. Anyone any ideas in how to proceed?

The Secure Connect Gateway executable failed consistently think it was still in progress upgrading Support Assist. In the end restored the server ensure the saede user account was added to the Login as service and run the upgrade. This time successful and I am now in Secure Connect Gateway.
The only issue I face now is the Dell S2D cluster servers have a connection status of Failed. I may open another thread on this.

Abannister,
The issue is due to trying to go to another version other than 5.0. What you will need to do is download 5.0 from here, then follow the walkthrough.
Let me know how it goes.

Thank you Chris, however, the trouble I find is you cannot download version 5.0. Even using the link you provided you can only download 5.06. Its the same location and error shown in my post. Are you able to supply version 5.0?

ABannister,
I see what you mean, I also tried to download the 5.0 and it goes to the newer one. Let me see if I can track down a working download link.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I apologize for the delay, the direct download link to the 5.0 version can be found here.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the link Chris. However, there is an upgrade issue. It states successful.
However as soon as it opens there is 'Something went wrong during your installation and we couldn't continue'
It then uninstalls straight away. I have tried this a couple of times with the same results. Any ideas?
Regards,
Andrew

Looking in the event viewer I can see Event ID 7000
The Dell Technologies Secure Connect Gateway DB service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not start due to a logon failure.
Prior to this 7041
The SecureconnectgatewayDataBaseService service was unable to log on as .\saede with the currently configured password due to the following error:
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
Service: SecureconnectgatewayDataBaseService
Domain and account: .\saede
This service account does not have the required user right "Log on as a service."
This would make sense as we do restrict this, however because Secure Connect Gateway automatically removes itself the account .\saede is removed so I cannot provide permissions for it.

I have added account 'saede' to our domain GPO to grant "Logon on as service" which has successfully installed Secure Connect Gateway and there are 3 services logging with account saede.
Note one of the services starts but eventually stops with a terminated unexpectedly. I can start the service but regardless of whether it is running or not when opening the application I get 404 error

Sorry to hear you're still having issues with it. I spoke with the OpenManage group and they suggested that you call in and request thier team to work with.
