Problem with recoverpoint installation ID
Gents , i need your help as i have two sites with 2 RP/SE 3.4 sp3.pc(m.34) at each conntected over 2M WAN link - we did the installtion with the required IP address for LAN and WAN interfaces , the recoverpoint managent takes long time to start , we want in install the license but the cluster installtion ID doesnt displayed we checked the connection from the IP and storages prespective which is showen ok , anf traffic graph also is green right OK , but still site showen question mark for other site , we do not have any firewall in between also the ISP do not have anything in between to block the ports needed.
I did not know from where the problem could be ,and where should i start to diagnosis this issue.
Thanks

Hi,
Did you install RP/SE with Deployment manager or done it by manual ?

Based on your description, you have no IP communication between sites. This is why you have the blue "unknown" question marks at the opposite site. Also, the installation ID will not be generated until the two sites can communicate with each other.
I would start troubleshooting your network. You can run some network tests from each RPA by logging in as boxmgmt.

We used the deployment manager not the manual method, the IP network diagnosis are shown all 4 RPs are OK , but once we open the RP managing GUI , blue question mark displayed at each site only for the other site.

I did diagnosis each from the boxmgmt for RP from 4 appliances two at each site can ping each other without single drop packet , but still each site found this question mark highlited at the other site , can not troubleshout is WAN bandwidth has minimum requirments to enable RPs to comunnicate , is re-imaging the boxes can solve this issue?

When you log into the GUI on the other side, you see the same symptoms? The other side is "unknown"?
Unless it's something obvious, like you have a version mismatch, or, as Ernes suggested, RPAs at the other side are not attached, or some firewall ports are closed, you might have to open a Service Request and collect the logs.

Can you verify that the RPAs are attached to the cluster?

Thanks Gents for your prompt reply ,
Our two branches connected through WAN , but i will tell you something discovered during the testing , we confirmed from our ISP that did not have a firewall blocked the required ports , but still when i test the required intra-RP communicatiomn ports like 21 from source IP to distnation IP with specific ports it was failed even when i tried to test between the local RP within the same site in which i am 100 % sure not firewall?!! , the same image we used which is 3.4 sp3 in both sites.
but one question is it regularer that EMC RPs and Clarrion CX not replying for trace route network command from the switch , i can ping and trace route any server within the same vlan for these RPs located , but when i tired to trace route the RPs IP adddress it give me time out inspite of it repling with ping wihout any time out
