OM 3.12 - no targets available for this volume

Ive installed OM on 2 VM's both with separate RDM's attached.

I want to migrate 1 volume on the first VM to the 2nd VM. I've installed the filter driver on BOTH VM's, rebooted and when I try to migrate I get a "no targets available for this volume"

I've literally tried everything I can think of, read through the product guide at least 20 times and still cant figure it out.

No, you can do that. I thought that you were trying to migrate an RDM from one VM to another. You have to install the OM software and attach the filter driver on one of the two VMs and perform the migration on that VM. You can't attach the filter driver on VM1 and perform the migration on VM2.

Needs to be a physical RDM

You can't use OM to migrate from one VM to another VM. You can use OM to migrate from one RDM to another RDM on the SAME server but not between servers.

So if I have Clustered SQL VM's that have RDM's attached, I wont be able to use OM to migrate those volumes from my NetApp to my VMAX?

It shouldnt matter the underlying server that the RDM is sitting on, should it?

I have a VM with an RDM, whether thats a physical server with an RDM or a VM with an RDM, OM shouldnt care? The volume is all it should care about right? Im not trying to migrate a VMDK on a VM.
