Open .dbx files after reformatted computer

I recently reformatted my computer, and saved my Outlook Express Inbox, Sent, and addresses .  The only way I could find to save them was in .dbx files, which I cannot seem to find a way to open!!    In looking on line, I find programs ...to buy...that will open them, but surely there must be a "better"  (cheaper, more accessable) way ?  I keep thinking that if that is the common way to save these, I must be missing the common way to open them.  Please tell me how to proceed .   Thanks very much

Hi!

While trying to open corrupted DBX file some error messages will be displayed on the screen. These common error messages are

MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module Directdb.dll.

MSIMN caused an exception 0xC0000006h in module Directdb.dll.

MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module "unknown".

Unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP Port: 0 Secure: No [SSL] Error: 0x800c0131. etc

Well, there is one smart tool that can easily recover DBX file. It is the SysInfo DBX recovery tool.

It has flexible saving options that enable the user to save email in EML, DBX, MSG, RTF also in PST format.

Free DBX file recovery tool restores 10 emails freely. You can try the demo version.
