Can't install My Dell from Windows Store
Hi,
I purchased Dell 5590 last year. I recently did a reinstall of Windows removing everything. While I managed to install all Dell apps after reinstall, I am not able to install My Dell app from the Store, which helps in running diagnostics, etc.
Appreciate any tips on this.
If that matters.

Microsoft Store app download fails after Operating System reinstall
The following solution is for advanced users. Before following these steps, set a Windows Restore Point. Reset or reinstall Windows 10 on your Dell computer
* Click left Windows Start
* Type cmd
* Command Prompt will appear, click "Run as administrator"
* You are now in the black Command Prompt section
* The StoreContentModifier in the second command below can be DELL_XPS or DELL_INSPIRON or DELL_ALIENWARE or DELL_VOSTRO. So you have to add your specific model in the command
* Type this line and when done [press Enter] =
C:\WINDOWS\system32>REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Store" /v OEMID /f /t REG_SZ /d DELL
* Type this line and when done [press Enter] =
C:\WINDOWS\system32>REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Store" /v StoreContentModifier /f /t REG_SZ /d "System_Name"
* Exit Command Prompt and restart the PC

Not sure what the windows update suggestion was supposed to do =/ ?

Hi,
Yes, My Store is working fine. I can install/update apps without a hitch. My Dell app is where the problem lies. Don't know why it says app not compatible.

Hi dhimansumit4, you are on build 2004 that may have it's set of bugs that will be fixed overtime. Second, the developers will need to update the app for compatibility issues. Both of these will take time. If this is a necessary app, I would suggest uninstalling the 2004, if you are within 10 days of the upgrade and try installing the app. ^SP

It can be done.
Click here to open the link to My Dell in the MS store but open it in your browser https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9PN7T3JFPRZ6
Add the app to your cart and check out.
Go to the Microsoft Store and click "My Library"
Find the My Dell app and click the 3 dots next to Install. Click "Install on my devices"
Select the device you want to install it on. It should start installing right away.
