Powerpath/VE: ERROR: PowerPath Not Found
Hello,
When I try to contact an ESX host running Powerpath/VE I get the "ERROR: Powerpath Not Found" error. I can prove that the ESX host is running Powerpath/VE and the devices are owned by Powerpath. What does the rpowermt command return this error. How do I fix this problem.
C:\>rpowermt check_registration host=hostname.mydomain.net>
ERROR: PowerPath Not Found
Thanks.

I already have two unrelated cases open with EMC that aren't going very well. I figured someone in this community must have had this problem at some point.

Hello Daniel.
There are about six reasons that we see this message error. Please take a look at KB article 92426rpowermt command returns "Error: Host not found" when managing PowerPath for VMware.
There are also known issues with Qlogic CIM provider.
I know this does not really pin down the issue but I hope it helps to point you in the direction to fix the issue.

I understand you are having issues with a couple of service requests.
Please send me a message at kenneth.whitehead@emc.com and I will see what I can do to get the trouble with the requests resolved.

"Host not found" could be anything. "PowerPath not found" are the strange ones. I will check the KB.
