Has anyone recently upgraded powerpath 5.5 P 3 on AIX 6.1 tl 7 to latest level?
Asking the Community ...
My task is to upgrade PowerPath 5.5 p 3 to newest level consistent with VMAX array and AIX 6.1 tl 7.
My questions would be has anyone in the community here done this upgrade recently?
If so, did you experience any gotcha's, problems or issues.
As I have not done this in the past, and I have heard and read of problems upgrading, it would be
very appreciated if someone could provide some insight to the process and pitfalls to avoid.

Before you upgrading your PowerPath, you have to schedule server downtime and stop all the IOs on the LUN accessing through PowerPath, otherwise the powerpath upgrade will stop with error and you can't complete the update.
