Change IP and Hostname on Red Hat Linux

Hello,

We are going to move two Linux boxes and a VNX5400 to a new datacenter. We need to change the IPs and Hostnames of the two servers. Do I need to do anything to Powerpath? I don't recall Powerpath caring about the hostname, just wanted to be sure.

Powerpath 5.6

Red Hat Linux 5.8

Thanks.

to VNX so you don't have to install navi agent.

don't need to do anything with PowerPath (especially 5.6). Newer versions of PowerPath will auto-register the host name in-band. You don't have PowerPath configured to report to a central Powerpath management console ?

No management console yet.  Auto-register the hostname in-band to what?

Excellent! We don't run naviagent.

I can save the step of reregistering the HBAs.
