AIX-Power path 5.7 SP1 & SP2 ASB /Dead path
Hi Guys,
We are frequently getting Path failure and state change in many of the AIX host .We have verified the Connectivity , no abnormality on that.
All the servers are connected through VIO servers from AIX.Below are the details and error message .
AIX -6.1
Powerpath - 5.7 Sp1,Sp2
No problem with the physical connectivity & i have searched for bugs in power path as well. No Clue yet.

Hello Saran,
I suggest opening a service request and uploading a grab. There are a lot of reasons we see these messages and having a greater picture of the environment and its many variables will help answer why we see these messages.
Are these shared devices?
What are the reservation policies?
What ODM file set is installed?
A snippet of errpt -a from the path change and connect failure really helps determine what is going on.
I see you are asking about asb? Are these marked as asb:iopf or asb:prox?
powermt display dev= is very helpful as well.
With these outputs I am sure I can help you further.
