dell system bios has halted

Hi, I have issue,

I upgraded my ram and hard drive about 3 weeks ago. The server worked normally until yesterday. The situation is that it cannot boot into the operating system and stops at this screen. Can you guide me to fix it?

Thanks!

Hi,

Let's try a few steps together. Please try power drain as below:

1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cabless and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on the server for iDRAC to be refreshed.
6. Power the system on.

Then you can try to clear NVRAM like this video Dell EMC PowerEdge R640: Clear NVRAM via Jumpers - YouTube

and lastly if still the issue persists then you can try to min to post.

the minimum configuration to POST:

● One processor (CPU) in socket processor 1

● One memory module (DIMM) in socket A1

● One power supply unit

● System board

● Control panel

Hope that helps!

hello Mate can you login into the IDRAC and check for the hardware logs to verify the system hardware.
