Device driver is missing when to install Windows Server 2008 R2 on PE 2850
Hi,
My server PE 2850 using Centos 6 as the OS. So I want to install a windows server 2008 R2.
When on installation menu, it show "Drive Devices is Missing" as show picture below :
After I google, I found this link and try follow his example :
http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/1466/t/19470587.aspx
But I not sure why I cannot hit CTRL-M to configure RAID during POST. Only CTRL-A for LSI Logic Configuration and CTRL-E for BMC setup.
Then, I boot to 2008R2 installation and I click the RAID drivers. But it show the message as below :
Someone can help me to solved on this matter?
Here my server spec :
Hardware :
Intel Xeon 3.8Ghz dual core x 2 CPU
8GB Ram
300GB x 3 10k RPM SCSI HDD
A05 BIOS version
Please let me know if the information is not sufficient

If you don't have a CTRL-M prompt, then one of two things is happening: 1) you don't have the RAID hardware installed to enable the PERC 4e/Di RAID controller (key, battery, memory), or 2) RAID is not enabled in the BIOS.
If you have the RAID hardware, go to the BIOS Setup (F2), Integrated Devices and set the embedded RAID to RAID Enabled.
You MUST first configure RAID before any disks will be presented to the OS for the installation.
The missing "CD/DVD device driver" is because your installation media is corrupt. Try different media, downloading it again, using a download manager to ensure file integrity, verifying the hash, burning the ISO at a different speed, and/or using different software or hardware.
You will THEN need the drivers for the PERC in order for 2008R2 to see the virtual disk created in CTRL-M. The drivers don't work right now, because you don't have the PERC enabled, so essentially, the device you are attempting ot load drivers for does not exist.
