PowerEdge R520 blinking orange light in the back next to USB

Hi,

Please advise what this light blinking in the back of my PowerEdge R520 next to USB sockets means.

This is system identification button. Can you press that button and see whether LED stop blinking. You can find more detail on this below.

Hi @DELL-Shine K,

Thank you for a quick response, but I got another question about this one now - the manuals that you've linked say that this light should be blue, while it is amber in this case. 

Does it mean something or it's just a random light selection for different machines?

Identify blinking amber typically means server need some attention. Can you check the LCD panel (If available) and see whether it is showing any warning or error messages. You can also check the same on iDRAC SEL Log page. If there are any warning / error message you can fix the issue mentioned and check whether identify light is going blue. If not you can clear SEL Logs and check the identify behavior.
