Networker backup questions for Oracle RAC with multi-instances
The below questions are from another community
The Oracle environment:
Oracle RAC deployed on 2 Linux servers
- 3 instances on each server
- same Oracle home path
- sid: xx1, xx2, xx3
- One database for each instance
- each database has its own backup users
Questions:
1. Need suggestions on backup processes with Networker for the above environment
2. Backup scripts
3. Any other suggesting

I am not clear on the instances. Are you saying that three instances are running on each server (i.e. 6 instances total)? In which case the instance list you show (xx1, xx2, xx3) would be incomplete, because that's only 3 instances, not 6. Also, the structure of the instance names appears to be a 3-node RAC, not a 2-node RAC. Thus, on a 2 node RAC with 3 instances each, I would expect something like this:
Your description does not match your instance list in other words.
Please clarify and I will comment further.
