Check it out - EMC certified on Oracle VM

EMC storage, including VMAX and VNX, has been tested using the Oracle ® VM Storage Connect Certification kit to achieve Storage Certification with Oracle VM Release 3.3.

Oracle’s storage certification program enables established storage partners to qualify their storage systems for use with Oracle VM using an Oracle supplied storage qualification test kit.

Storage Certification with Oracle VM Release 3.3 on SAN and NAS storage arrays is achieved by verifying proper functionality of the storage array in an Oracle VM environment. Certification can be verified for storage arrays running in iSCSI and Fibre Channel environments, using both Oracle generic and vendor-specific plugins, and in both single path and multipath configurations. Certification can also be verified for file servers in an NFS environment using Oracle generic NFS storage plugin

This storage certification required strong collaboration between Oracle and EMC to ensure that adequate testing had been completed and the results met the highest standards. This rigorous process ensures that customers have full support from both Oracle and EMC.

Oracle’s Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) documents storage compatibility with Oracle VM. Similar information on EMC compatibility is available from EMC e-Labs; E-Lab qualifies millions of configurations featuring EMC and third-party hardware and software.
