Optiplex 780 SFF and Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9505
Will it work? Q9505 is almost the same as Q9550, but it is not on the official Optiplex 780 support list. I would like to know only because I have a low budget and Q9505 is about 25% cheaper than Q9550.

The Q9505 has the same CPUID as the Q9400 which was validated for the 780, 1067A.

I can't make any guarantees, but indication is the Q9505 will work in a 780.
