Need help with buying graphics for optiplex 7050 sff
Recently ive bought a refurbished optiplex 7050 sff off best buy. I want to buy a decent graphics card for it, but i cant verify if it will fit or not.
Card: MSI Geforce GTX 1650
https://www.amazon.ca/MSI-GTX-1650-Ventus-OCV3/dp/B0CK9SRJWW
Ive explored other alternatives such as:
Amd raedon rx 6400 low profile
And
Gefore Gtx 1030 low profile
But my main gripes is that the 1030 isnt very fast and raedon is 19% slower than the 1650
Im willing to buy the rx 6400 but i strongly prefer the gtx 1650.

That MSI card is full height and would not fit SFF case. You need a low profile short bracket gtx 1650.
like this one
https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-geforce-gtx-1650-low-profile-gddr6#spec
or
https://www.ebay.com/itm/335215152659?
You will need to install the card in black PCIex4 slot which is open ended.

The linked GTX 1650 can not be used in your OptiPlex system. Any full height and/or double slot card will not fit into the Dell small form factor. Therefore, a low profile single slot card such as RX 6400 low profile is suggested. The power supply is a main factor. A 180w power supply is very limited to provide full power support.

Chino is spot on the psu
you need at least the 240w Dell psu or preferably 260w if you use mechanical hdd and dvd.
psu calculator basic for gtx 1650
Load Wattage: 252 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 302 W
if hdd and dvd are included
