Issue with headset

I have a problem with headphones. Normally, when I turn on the pc, the headphone jack is already inserted in its slot (traditional slot, not usb). On startup, the headphones work perfectly. What happens: if I decide to unplug the headphones to use the pc's speakers, and later I plug the headphones back in, the headphones are no longer recognized and it is necessary to restart the pc for them to work again.

The headphones perfectly work with smartphones and other devices. Any driver is updated.

What can I do?
