R720 - OM Integration vcenter 2.0 (lastest patch) - vSphere 5.5 - iDRAC credential test failed
Hi,
have here a brand new R720 and try since a couple of days to create a connection profile which works.
I always receives a message that the OM Plugin in vCenter is unable to contact the iDRAC (failed - unable to contact iDRAC. Check iDRAC credentials, or network connectivity) .
I'am able to login into iDRAC with the credentials I have entered in the plugin (about 30 times tested)!
For sure I can ping the iDRAC from vCenter.

Hi Henri4,
I would like for you to check the connectivity between the appliance virtual machine and the host. Can you log into the appliance console as username: readonly, password: < >, and from the command prompt try to ping the host and idrac? From the log it looks like you are using a FQDN for the host name so also try to ping by the FQDN.

Henri, did you ever find a resolution to your problem? I am having the same issue with a M620 running vsphere 5.5, the host passes the test but the idrac fails.

Yes it's solved. I had attached the iDrac not on the dedicated Ethernet port. In this case is the appliance not able to reach the vsphere host, try to login to the appliance (I think user was readonly) and ping the entered vsphere host.
