OMIVV error 2000001 - NonAdmin-User in vSphere 6.5
Hi,
I have VCSA 6.5 and OMIVV 4.2.1
I am getting following error when i try to upgrade the Host firmware.
"Failed to Connect to the OMIVV appliance"
Error 2000001.
My vCenter Server is registered with OMIVV for administrative user.
User has all rights and permissions.
I can ping OMIVV appliance from vcenter server by typing IP as well as by typing Node name.
While configuring Chassis profile and connection profile to host, all tests were passed.

OMIVV 4.3 was released, so you might consider upgrading that to see if it assists. I'll also provide you the manual, as that may assist you in troubleshooting the issue https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/openmanage-integration-vmware-vcenter-v42_users-guide_en-us.pdf
When did the issue first take place? Did any changes get implemented prior to this behavior?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I found that we get error 2000001 while upgrading host firmware (through OMIVV) if we hit the enter key in the description field of Job description.
Means you can't hit enter key while writing job description.
Actually error message is confusing. Error message says "Failed to connect to OMIVV appliance" which misleads.
