Trouble with Perc S300

I have a Poweredge T110 II Service Tag that crashed after a Windows Server 2012 R2 update tried to process. Loading the Raid configuration I noticed that 1 of the drives in the array had failed.  I installed a new drive and listed it as a Hot Spare.  My question is seeing as how I cannot get back into Windows. I was able to start the Repair My Computer option from the Installation media and load the driver for the Perc S300 card.  I know that the rebuild option starts once the driver is loaded.  Does that also apply in this setup enviroment?  The HDD light has been steady on since loading which makes me think that it is working but I was told the question would have to be answered by a Dell Engineer.  Any help you can provide is very much appreciated and thank you in advance.
