PowerEdge T410 w/PERC SAS 6/iR Controller Disk Replacement Procedure

I have a PowerEdge T410 with a SAS 6/iR RAID controller and 4 physical disks. The disks are arranged as 2 virtual disks, with 2 physical disks in each virtual disk in a RAID-1 configuration. The server is running MS Small Business Server 2008.

VIrtual disk 0 contains physical disks 0 and 1 and both are working ok. Virtual disk 2 contains physical disks 2 and 3. Physical disk 2 has is failing and needs to be replaced.

All 4 disks are in hot-swap drive carriers that are plugged into the internal SAS backplane and accessible from the front of the server. The right LED on disk 2's carrier blinks amber every few seconds.

I have ordered a replacement disk but I can't find the procedure for replacing a hot-swap disk in a RAID-1 pair on a T410 Windows server. I have Open Manage Server Administrator 8.1.0 installed, but the only the only "available tasks" shown for the physical disks are "Blink" and "Unblink".

Can you tell me or point me to a description of the best-practice procedure for replacing a hot-swap disk in my configuration?

Do I just unplug the bad disk and plug in the replacement while the server is up and running?

Will the RAID controller automatically initialize and rebuild the replacement disk or is operator action required?

Any help or information would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
