PowerEdge t110 II BIOS Reset

I have a PowerEdge T110 II that the BIOS reset. I had two sata drives set in RAID 1 mode and the BIOS is set to AHCI vs RAID now. The server will not boot. If I change the mode to RAID the BIOS warns of loss of data if I proceed. How can I remediate this issue.

Hello

If I change the mode to RAID the BIOS warns of loss of data if I proceed

When you switch the mode the data is written differently to the drives. If you have data that was written to the drives in RAID mode and then boot to AHCI or any other mode and start writing to the drives then it will overwrite/corrupt the existing data. The act of changing between RAID/AHCI/SATA is not data destructive, but it can lead to data loss if you don't know what you are doing.

If the data on the drives was created when the system was set to RAID mode then you should set it back to RAID mode.

Thanks

Problem Solved. I disconnected the drives, reset the BIOS setting to RAID, powered off and reconnected the drives. Went in to RAID config and saw the drives. Server is back up
