Account email address change

Hello all, I'd like to change the email address associated with my Community account (home instead of work, since I now have Dell laptops in both places and don't want to be tied to a work address that may change) - I can see there is an option to do this, I have used it, get a verification email to my home address, I confirm that, my home address is now listed in my Community account and all appears to be well.

However, if I try to log in with my home address (and the unchanged password), it doesn't work - "We are unable to match the details you entered with our records".

In addition, I can still log in with my original work address, and then my email address is listed as the original work address again!

Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?  I've got a feeling there may be some sort of conflict with my "regular" Dell account?

I also notice there seems to be no way to change the account password?  Thanks!

Researching this. We use a single sign on process. So your Dell purchasing account sign on email address is "tied" to your DCF (Dell Community Forum) sign on email address. Have you also changed your Dell purchasing account sign on email address to your home email address?

Hi Chris, ok, single sign on process - that should simplify things! To answer your question, I've not modified the (work) purchasing account at all.

So as things stand, I've got two Dell accounts - one for work and one for home - I wish to keep them seperate from eachother.

The "single account" aspect explains why I hit trouble trying to change email address, I was changing it to the email address used by my other account... no wonder it went a bit wrong.

So what I'd like to do, is use the Dell Community ID "riph72" for my home account, not my work one as is currently the case - is that possible?

If it isn't, I'm thinking the nuclear option might be to delete my work account, freeing up the "riph72" ID for use with my home account?
