I prefer Linksys equipment. I just picked up a WRT610N and this thing rocks. I had a WRT600N but it was having issues with my Intel card in my laptop. Picked up the 610 after i bricked the 600 and boy the difference is so noticeable.
Remember that the N standard has not been ratified yet and will most likely be by the end of the year so when looking for a router make sure you find if at all possible the matching adapter to use with it to get the very best performance.
Also remember the N will not make your internet connection faster as that is set by your ISP but it will make the transfer of data between your computer faster.

the amount of memory should not have an affect just as going from G to N will. The type of connectiion has nothing to do with the amount of ram

The reason i wanted to upgrade is i tried to upgrade the memory in my computer from 1GB to 4GB. it will accept 4GB. So I purchased 4-1GB modules. Installed and adapter would not work. Took two modules out and it worked again. So I now have 2GB memory. Will upgrading to an N product recognize the other modules (well at least up to 3GB-32 bit OS)?

Thanks Davet50. Why wouldn't those other two modules work? The computer will support 4 GB.
