[Solved] Inspirion 580 1525 network card problem
I have a Windows 7-64 bit Inspiron 580 computer. It is two months shy of a year old and for the last few months I have had a problem were my computer will lose the wireless signal. I have talked to tech support on a number of occasions and thought the problem was fixed when I was provided with the latest drivers.
Over the last three days I have had to restore my computer to a few days prior to for the card to work. Looking at the drivers in the device manager they say they are the latest made in 2009 but a Google search shows there are drivers for the 1525 card that are only a few months old. Calling tech support yesterday and today frustrated the heck out of me when I was told about the 90-day software warranty and there was no consideration that the problem may be with the hardware.
I have a wireless connection now but my question is how long will it last and is the wireless card covered under the massively complex Dell Warranty or will I have to come out of pocket to replace it then be screwed because I installed a third party piece of hardware?
Update: 3/9/2011
Sovled my issue by getting the driver dated 3/7/2011 but the link is broken had to manually get the link and input it for others having this issue the link is. Feedback link was difficult to use as well.

If there are newer drivers on the Dell site, there is no harm in installing them.
