New Alienware 17 R4 cant connect to Wifi

Recently recently received my new Alienware 17 R4 laptop. Disappointed when I found out that I cannot connect to my Wifi at home. Ethernet does work. I am able to see my router name, but when I connect and put in the network key, I get a "cannot connect to network'' message. I have tried downloading new drivers for Killer 1535, uninstalling previous drivers, downloading a clean version of windows 10, etc, nothing has worked. I would hate to have to return my laptop, but if this issue persist it may be in the cards. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your message.

If the driver reinstall hasn’t helped, it could be an issue with the wireless card.

We will have to check the wireless card cable connectors.

If you are comfortable in opening the back cover. You can check if there is an issue with the cable.

Follow the manual here http://dell.to/2vk4dXv  page 16 to remove the back cover & page 23 to check the wireless card.

1. Open the service cover

2. Make a visual inspection of the WLAN card looking for any damage on the card or the antenna cable.

3. Make sure the antennas are connected to its correspondent color marks in the card (Black cable to the connector marked with a black triangle and same for the white cable)

For better assistance, please click on my Dell username & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.
