Dell Mouse MS5320W will no longer go in to bluetooth pairing mode

I have a Dell Multi-Device Wireless Mouse MS5320W and it will no longer go in to bluetooth pairing mode.  I click the switch button to change to bluetooth device 2 or bluetooth device 3 and then hold down the switch button for a few seconds.  The device 2 or device 3 light would then start blinking about once per second and I could pair the mouse with my pc.  This no longer works and the mouse will not enter pairing mode.  I've looked everywhere trying to find a method to completely clear the mouse memory and start over to no avail.  Pulled the batteries and replaced with new.  The mouse is working fine over the wireless usb.  Is there a way to completely reset this mouse and start over?  TIA.

Hey, for the dell device specially dell mouse  reset with these instructions:

  1. Switch off your dell wireless mouse.
  2. Hold down the mouse buttons.
  3. Release the buttons after 5 seconds, you will see an LED flash if it resets successfully.

Or for pairing mood try these steps:

Pair your mouse with your Bluetooth-enabled computer.
a. In Windows Search, type Bluetooth.
b. Click Bluetooth and other devices settings. The Settings window appears.
c. Click Bluetooth & other devices. Ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on.
d. From the list of devices, click Dell Mouse.

Or for more instruction use this link. This will guide you in a better way:

Thanks for the help but this did not work.  Should the LED flash even with the power off or is there a point at which the power should be turned back on?  I turned it on after step 3 but could still not put the mouse in pairing mode.

Try these fixes
Diagnose your problem cause by troubleshooting
Make sure to turn on WLAN feature in your laptop
Make sure the WLAN AutoConfig service is running
Update your wireless network adapter driver
Uninstall incompatible applications
Manually connect to a wireless network

This may help you,

Mine was new, and it helped me to hear you say to hold down the paring button. It then went into pairing mode, however unsuccessful attempts had installed a Dell Mouse, which had no connectivity. I removed them from bluetooth connections. Restarted the PC, then finally after several efforts and irritating system restarts - it is now working and switching between USB and bluetooth on 2 PCs ..but it was not friendly. I just kept poking at the installation, clearing up the debris of semi-connected peripherals - a real pain. Now it is functioning fine - I hope. so maybe just keep trying, I found I could clear previous connections by removingit from Bluetooth Connections in Settings.

Thanks, harvo456.  I think that's part of my problem.  This mouse was connected to a device or two that I no longer have and that I did not remove from Bluetooth in settings before selling the devices.  So it seems that the mouse is going to just hold on to those older devices forever with no way to fully reset the internal memory.  I even tried pulling the batteries and letting the mouse sit for a week and still unable to reset and connect.  Maybe I just need to let it sit for a year without a battery but it is hard to beleive their is no way to wipe it and reset it as new.

I'm having the same problem. I press the button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode, but nothing happens. I reset the mouse but the pairing mode doesn't work anymore. How to solve this problem?

@Nimra jabeen Did not work for me.  The MS5320W has 10 buttons if you count the wheel's 1 vertical + 2 sideway buttons too. What did you mean by press all at the same time? The wheel's sideway buttons simply cannot be pressed simultaneously, it is either left or right.  Bluetooth still dysfunctional.  Is there no factory reset?  Where did you get this method?

I'm having same problem that mayc@MayconAllves , @alex.grigore1989 , @bilmil .

Tried to reset pressing left+right buttons but it only removes pairing with dongle.

I can't put the mouse in pairing mode or remove the list of connected PCs.

Hi.

Did anyone manage to solve this issue? I'm having the exact same issue. Mouse previously paired via bluetooth with devices. Now cannot get it to re-pair with a new device. As other have said, it feels like the device memory is full. It doesn't appear to go into pairing mode anymore so stuck. No way to reset of clear.

Thanks

Just use 'Dell Peripheral Manager' and reset your mouse. Then re-pair, works fine.

@Tepi1234 The 'Reset' button only shows when connected by the dell dongle, not by Bluetooth. When connected by dongle, the reset only resets the dongle pair/connection, it does not reset the Bluetooth memory/pairs.

So no matter what I try to do, it will not enter Bluetooth pair mode to pair it to a new device.

Dell are no help what so ever. It seems because a mouse does not have a service tag they just cant understand how to start technical support. Very very frustrated.

Hey guys, this worked for me:

Press the connection-mode button twice on your mouse (within 3 seconds) until the connection-mode light (2) turns on indicating that the second-Bluetooth connection is selected
