Dell N2024 switch DHCP limit

The documentation says this device supports a maximum of 256 leases.  There are two kinds of DHCP IP assignments as far as I understand pool assigments where devices get 'random' addresses from a pool and manual assignments where a MAC address is mapped to an IP address.  The 256 leases supported by this switch are they only pool type assignments or a combination of pool and manual assignments.  With multiple vlans this makes a difference as to my DHCP server strategy.  Thanks to anyone that can assist.
