Hi,

There is no audio adjustment on my Dell U3421WE monitor when I use Apple computer MacBook Air M1 or Mac mini M1.

No. Apple will never release control of their operating system code to Dell to allow such a firmware to be created.

As shown on page 51 in the online U3421WE User's Guide, the U3421WE built-in speakers volume is controlled inside the U3421WE Menu- Audio =

What I mean is to adjust the sound within the operating system. All other sound unit can  I adjusted the sound under the MacOS but not the sound of my Dell monitor. To change the sound volume from the monitor menu and not in the sound setting in the OS is not what you must expect of a monitor in the year 2022.

When I use my working laptop I can adjust the sound of me Dell monitor within the OS.

For me does it look like a firmware fix.

Will Dell take action on the problem and make a new firmware that fixes this problem?

The Apple macOS firmware that we can build only interact with our monitors and our software. What you want is control of the Apple macOS itself to change the volume. I say again, they will not give us such control.
