U2723QE Vertical Picture by Picture

I have two Dell U2723QU monitors which I use with two devices and would like to achieve the following workflow:

Monitor 1:

Full screen display of either computer, happy to change with the DP/USB-C input mode

Monitor 2:

Vertical with picture by picture, so I can have calendar etc from each other computers one above the other and keep an eye on what is going on.

I am able to do this by setting the rotation mode for each computer on the second monitor,however when I switch the input on the main display, about 5 second later it will rotate the 2 displays, overriding the setting I made on the computers.

I noted there is a mode in the display controls to be able to rotate the image, but then this turns off the ability to select picture by picture mode.

Is there a way to achieve this?
