U2422H, MacBook Pro 2017, no DP signal from your device

Can't get my new monitor (U2422H) to work with my computer (MacBook Pro 2017)

When I turn the monitor on, it tells me that there's "No DP signal from your device", but I can't find clear information on how to fix this issue

I have downloaded both the firmware update and DDPM from  the U2422H page.

Both installation process have been run successfully, or so it seems. However, nearly all options from the DDPM menu are greyed out, including "Open Dell Display and Peripheral Manager"

Is this because DDPM doesn't support the 2017 MacBook Pro? Does that mean there's no way to fix the issue?

I am connecting the U2422H to the 2017 MacBook Pro using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable with an HDMI to USB-C adapter to connect to the 2017 MacBook Pro.

I have also tried connecting directly with the USB-A to USB-C cable that came with the U2422H.

Any help greatly appreciated :))

Mac OS: Ventura 13.2.1
HDMI to USB-C adapter: Pacifico NP-HD467

Correct, macOS DDPM will not work with macOS models earlier than 2018. But that is not the "connection" issue.

The USB-A to USB-C cable is data only, no video.

HDMI cannot upconvert to DP. So your setup is incorrect =

2017 MacBook Pro USB-C --> USB-C to HDMI adapter --> HDMI to DP cable --> U2422H DP

You have two options =

2017 MacBook Pro USB-C --> USB-C to HDMI cable --> U2422H HDMI

2017 MacBook Pro USB-C --> USB-C to DP cable --> U2422H DP

@DELL-Chris M Hi Chris - similar issue to above, 2017 macbook. I have USBA->HDMI. Newest OS and I installed DDPM. Will this monitor not function at all with this mac?
