Hello, as mentioned above, I can't unlock by pressing the button next to power for 10 seconds. Please advise.

kenopps,

Were you in the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) making changes before this issue? Or was it this way "out of the box" ?
* Turn off the monitor
* Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the monitor
* Press the monitor power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the monitor
* Turn on the monitor
* Press and hold the button beside the power button for 10 seconds

msgl82,

As I asked the other user, were you in the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) making changes before this issue? Or was it this way "out of the box" ? Was this a new or refurbished from Dell?

Not out of the box but how I managed to lock it I have no idea. I press the button next to the power button for 10 sec and what happens is that the lock icon onscreen blinks but remains locked.

edit: a new monitor not refurbished.

What is the 20 digit alpha-numeric serial number from the label?

The displays team said to hold that button down for 15 to 20 seconds.

Hold the Menu button down for 20 seconds, not the power button.

held it down for 30+  sec (many times) and the only thing that happens is that the lock icon blinks every 5-10 sec.

did you that function when monitor tun on?

1. monitor turn on

2. press power button for 10 seconds (monitor is not real turn off) and release (when release your PC notice device disconnect sound, this mean monitor is real turn off).

3. monitor turn on

Just had the same issue, the monitor only brings up the input menu, not the other.

Plug in a Display port with a PC in the other end and you will get the full menu as well.
