U2412M, U2722DE, daisy chain?
I try to daisy chain my u2412m to the u2722de. Will it not work due to being displayport 1.1.?

You cannot use HDMI/DVI/VGA anywhere on any monitor in a DP (Display Port) Daisy Chain. Dell never tested the 12 year old U2412M in any Daisy Chain. Yes, the U2412M is only DP 1.1a. But this might work.
PC USB-C port --> U2722DE USB-C cable --> U2722DE #5 USB-C port
U2722DE #6 DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> U2412M DP in port
PC DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> U2722DE #4 DP in port
U2722DE #6 DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> U2412M DP in port
