u2410 purple spot and blotches when screen is dark
Hi. I just got a u2410 and when the screeen is dark (in game or just dark/black pics) a purple spot in a less bright purple area shows in the middle left portion of the screen. I googled around but didn't find much help. I'd appreciate any advice. Thx.

Thanks Chris. I did the resets, still the same. It looks like a purple dot and a line in a blotchy patch. I've tried dvi and displayport. Both look the same. The discoloration also shows up on brighter screens depending on color. Here's a pic of the screen. I found your recomendation to use dpt and tried it for five minutes. Couldn't really tell a difference. Maybe I'll try it longer? Thx

Do the Factory Reset- Reset All Settings in the OSD (On Screen Display).
Using what port on the monitor and video card?
Have you tested all of the ports on the U2410 (DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-1, DVI-2, VGA) ?

Get the monitor replaced. If you only have a Dell order number for your monitor, you should contact Order Support. If you purchased the monitor bundled with a Dell PC, contact Technical Support for your country and use the Service Tag number from the bundled Dell PC. Provide to them the following data -
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone Number:
Monitor Order number:
PC Service Tag number if bundled:
Monitor 20 digit PPID number:
Reason:
