SP2009W Screen Freeze

Early this morning, I heard an electrical sound. My TV and my monitor 'freaked out' a second then stopped. The TV kept going but the monitor looks like this now:

The mic and USB ports still work. I assume the Webcam still works but have not tested it. I cannot turn it off using the power button (and it is white not amber) and I cannot access the menu options by waving my finger over the 1st button above the power button.

The 'image' is repeating a few pixels from some business cards I was making.

I've shut the computer off and on a few times with the monitor plugged in. I unplugged it and swapped ports (I am using a GeForce 9800 GT). Same screen. I unplugged it and restarted with just the other monitor THEN plugged it in - same screen.

webevie,

* Switch the monitor off
* Disconnect all monitor cabling from the PC (VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, USB, etc.)
* Disconnect the monitor power cord from the rear of the monitor
* Press and hold the monitor power button in for 5 seconds
* Reconnect only the monitor power cord to the rear of the monitor
* Switch the monitor on to see the Self-Test screen
* The floating Self-Test dialog box should appear onscreen against a black background
* Check the screen for the issue
