S3221QS, intermittent flickers/ghosting, connected to a XPS 9320

Dell S3221QS

Dell S3221QS

My dell s3221qs monitor is connected to a Dell XPS 9320 laptop. I've tried both direct connection via HDMI/USB-C as well as via my Dell multiport adapter.

The screen was replaced within a month of receiving it as the screen was ghosting/flickering off intermittently. The new screen is still doing the same thing. I have tried changing the refresh rate down to 30HZ as some other posts suggested. I've tried 2 different cable connections to the laptop (HDMI and USB-C).

Are there any other suggestions as to configuration changes that are required to get this to work?

Since you have tested with a second monitor, and different cables/adapter, why not trying to test with a different device/laptop/PC.  That will rule out the XPS 9320 video output was the culprit.

Test with the supplied AC power cable connected to the XPS 9320 and lid closed.
Can you replicate the issues on a different computer?
