S2340M, intermittent rapidly scrolling (?) screen
My S2340M monitor is behaving strangely. For about two minutes at a time, the screen scrolls or flickers vertically. It does this whether it's hooked up to a computer or not. I've tried swapping out the power cable, trying it on different computers, changing the refresh rate, and resetting it to the factory settings. I've moved it to a couple of different rooms, in case it was interference. But no change. I've uploaded a video of the problem (hopefully this works):

cjenknins,
Was this purchased directly from Dell?
A New or Refurbished purchase?
This appears to be an old one. The serial number says it was manufactured on October 14, 2012.
* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect all cables from the monitor except the power cord
* Turn the monitor on
* Looking at the monitor buttons top to bottom, press and hold buttons 1 and 4 down for two seconds
* An all Gray screen appears
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Red
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Green
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Blue
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Black
* Press button 4. The screen changes to White
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Text
* Press button 4 to exit the test. Did you see the issue while running the test? If yes, the monitor is defective

Dell Outlet only has a 90 day warranty from the "invoice" date, not the ship date. So contact Dell Order Support and have them exchange it. Understand, the replacement monitor does not get an additional 90 days. The original 90 day warranty period stays in effect. Read this.

It's a refurbished one, purchased from the outlet in December.
Yes, the issue continues when running that test.
