Monitor Daisy Chain setup
Hello everyone
I have two monitors of the above model and two computers I want to know if the below configurations will not damage my monitors.
computer 1 ---USB C---> Monitor 1 --- Daisy chain / Display Port ---> Monitor 2
computer 2 ---USB C---> Monitor 2 --- Daisy chain / Display Port ---> Monitor 1
Both computers may turn on at the same time.
Kind regards,
Stephen

Regardless of which computer is connected to which monitor that is fine, but you do not loop back the monitors in daisy chain setup.
(M1)DisplayPort-out to (M2)DisplayPort-in and (M2)DisplayPort-out to (M1)DisplayPort-in is not a proper daisy chain setup.

I believe only 1 USB-c port is suitable to charge a laptop fully and send video across it.
if one computer is a desktop then use DP or HDMI for it and use the USB-B if it has one to desktop

Thank you for all your reply.
My current configuration is as follows:
A ThinkPad 490T (work laptop) is currently connected to one of the monitors via USB-C.
A Mac Mini 2014 connected to the two monitors via DisplayPort.
I will buy a new Mac mini next year, just want to know how to set up my work laptop and my new Mac Mini, so both computers can have dual screens.
Kind regards,
Stephen

Monitor1 DisplayPort-out to Monitor2 DisplayPort-in (or HDMI-in), for daisy chain.
Laptop1 USB-C (thunderbolt) to Monitor1 USB-C.
Laptop2 USB-C to DisplayPort adapter to Monitor1 DisplayPort-in.
Assuming both monitors and both laptops do have available ports mentioned.

@Andy K
That is a contentious question.
Open the Pinned Post, "FAQ Dell monitor and Apple". Scroll down to, "Daisy chain with macOS".
