E190S, current input timing is not supported
The message prompts "The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1280x1024@60HZ or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications" in the monitor.
I changed the display resolution from the Control Panel and adjusted the Intel Graphics Control Panel as well but still doesnt work.
Reference:
HP Spectre Folio
Windows 10
Intel (R) UHD Graphics 615
PC USB C port --> USB C TO VGA cable --> VGA monitor port
Hope you can help me. Thanks!

I encountered the same problem with an older 2009 E190S (b) monitor. Current input timing is not supported for my monitor E190S. I am trying to use the E190S as an extended display for my HP Spectre Folio. (Windows 10, Intel UHD Graphics 615). My current set up =
HP Spectre Folio USB Type-C/DP ——> USB Type-C to VGA adapter ———> E190S VGA in port
I also tried lowering the Display resolution in both the Control Panel and Intel Graphics Control Panel. Also tried booting on a low resolution mode via start up settings. Still doesn't work. Hope you can help me.
Thanks.

You also should post the issue on the HP Forum.
The 11 year old E190S may not be able to get a signal from that USB Type-C to VGA adapter.
On a standard PC with VGA out port, does the E190S work?
PC VGA out port --> VGA to VGA cable --> E190S VGA in port

Hi Chris. Would just like to ask if the problem lies with the adapter and the incompatibility of the type c to vga, then why is the monitor picking up that there is an unsupported input timing? That means that the monitor is picking up that the resolution in my laptop is higher than what it can support right? Thanks for the fast response though.

We would be guessing. We have never tested a USB Type-C to VGA adapter to this E190S. Which is why I asked you to test to see if the E190S functions =
PC VGA out port --> VGA to VGA cable --> E190S VGA in port

Tried with my ancient laptop with VGA port. It worked cause the resolution can be downgraded to match monitor’s reso in older windows. For windows 10, although i can change the desktop resolution, the active signal resolution stays the same.
